In the football match, Oaklands Junior vs Beechwood, Oaklands won 2-0 after a tough game. Oaklands dominated the match but Beechwood played well. Each team had a few shots on target and a few wide. Oaklands controlled the ball well in midfield passing it forward as a team. Beechwood’s goalkeeper made some spectacular saves as well as Oakland’s goalie. But we got through later in the game. In the first half Oliver W scored the opening goal and Beechwood almost scored an equaliser. After the break there were some changes from both teams in their defence. Also in the second half Oliver F scored from a passing move. Oakland’s captain Ollie H nearly scored a third but was denied by Beechwood’s goalkeeper. Beechwood nearly conjured up a goal out of nothing in extra time.
