Gas Pipe Replacement Work

Please note the following work that is ‘in the pipeline’ and plan additional time into your journey to and from school.

Sandhurst Road/High Street: Work starts on 25th March at the junction of Sandhurst Road and the High Street. Temporary multi-way lights at the Sandhurst Road junction at Iron Duke Close. Lower Broadmoor Road and Church Street closed during this phase of work.

Church Street/Waterloo Road: Once work has been completed in Sandhurst Road, it will move to Church Street and Waterloo Road with rolling closures along these roads as work is completed.

WASMA

WASMA (Wokingham Area Schools Music Association) returns to the Hexagon celebrating songs from the silver screen on Sunday 24th March. We offer our soloists, choir and dancers our very best wishes for their performances. Miss Noad, Mr Holland and Mrs West are looking forward to joining them.

Easter Egg Competition

The Easter egg competition entries are being judged on Monday. If you are bringing in a late entry to the office first thing on Monday morning, please ensure they have your name and class on the back.

PTA Non-uniform Day

To celebrate the launch of our carnival event and to raise much needed funds, we are holding a non-uniform day on the last day of term for a £1 donation. If you wish to donate online, please follow this link or see the attached poster.

Easter Egg Raffle

The PTA are also running an Easter Egg Raffle in the Junior playground at 1:30pm – 3 raffle tickets for every £1. If you have any Easter eggs (no nuts please!) to donate for this raffle, please bring them to either school office by Tuesday 26th March.

Don’t forget, we finish school at 1:30pm on Thursday 28th March.

Sandhurst Gardening Club have a Family Funday on Good Friday 29th March from 10am to 2pm. There are free activities for all along with help if you are new to gardening or just need a gardening question answered!

Newly published is the NHS March 2024 Newsletter which gives you a bitesize guide to a healthier lifestyle which includes subjects such as helping your child through SATs, early language development and safety around dogs.

Ascot Spring Family Raceday is happening this weekend on Sunday 24th. For every adult ticket purchased (children go free) 25% is donated back to the school if you use the code OAKSCHOOL when booking.

Reading Football Club are promoting their Reading Women vs Blackburn Rovers Women match on Sunday 31st March.
