Please find below a couple of announcements that we would like to make you aware of:
Oaklands’ Plant Sale – Thursday 22nd May 2025
On Thursday 22nd May, we will be holding a plant sale where you will have the opportunity to purchase plants that have been tended and grown by our resident expert Mr Hopley with the help of the children in their gardening sessions.
The sale will take place after school at 15:20 in the Junior School Playground and all monies raised on the day will go towards ensuring our children are able to continue their enjoyment of gardening here at Oaklands Junior School. Please note that we can only accept cash on the day.
The children are very proud of their achievements (as too is Mr Hopley!) and are very much looking forward to sharing the results of their hard work with you. We look forward to seeing you there.
Crowthorne’s Green Week
Crowthorne Parish Council is hosting Green Week, starting on 7th June (full details can be found here) and have asked us to let you know about the following free after school activities that they have arranged:
FREE after school nature adventure
Tuesday 10th June, 16-17:15
Meet at Mordaunt Gate, Byron Drive, Wellington College
Join us for an electrifying adventure under the pylons and through the heath to find meat eating plants and giant stag beetles!
FREE Woodland wonder in Circle Hill
Wednesday 11th June, 15:30-16:30
Meet at the Walter Rec
An exciting after-school adventure, full of fun activities in Circle Hill Wood.
FREE Pond dipping at Buckler’s Park
Friday 13th June, 16-17:30
Meet at Buckler’s Forest car park
Join the forest ranger for some fun pond dipping in Buckler’s Forest. Find out what lives in the ponds and how important they are as a wildlife habitat and for our own homes. If you are lucky you might find a dragon…
